Marshall Reed (regarding his starring serial, “Riding with Buffalo Bill”, and at times wearing his guns backwards in the serial): “What they did in this serial is take two serials that were made before—“The Great Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok”, which starred Bill Elliott with the buckskin outfit and the guns backwards in the holsters, and “Deadwood Dick” in a black outfit—and they made outfits for me that matched the ones in those two serials, then wrote the story so they could use a lot of stock footage from the two serials.” |
